Quality Lives for People with Developmental Disabilities

Richmond Community Services

Richmond Community Services has more than 100 active volunteers working hands-on with children and adults at various sites. Many volunteers enjoy participating in therapeutic, recreational and community activities, such as art, music, dance-movement and pet therapy.

Other volunteers enjoy working at a variety of office-based administrative activities.

Corporate volunteers and community groups work hands-on with the individuals we support, or assist in various projects, such as gardening, assisting staff with computer literacy and refurbishing the residences we operate. Richmond has hosted groups from IBM, Pace University, College of New Rochelle, Pepsi, Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts and Co-op City Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Richmond‘s Youth and Community Services Projects include hosting a special-themed party, providing entertainment or assisting in the recreational activities for the individuals we support.
