Hispanic Heritage Month was first established in 1968 by President Lyndon B. Johnson and expanded to a full month in 1988 by President Ronald Reagan to honor the histories, cultures, and contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans. The celebration begins on September 15, the independence anniversary of several Latin American countries. At Richmond Community Services, we proudly celebrate this heritage alongside our staff and residents who enrich our community every day.
