Yesterday’s Richmond Community Services Annual Golf Outing was more than just a beautiful day on the green. It was a day where our community came together and made something incredible happen.

From the early morning smiles of our volunteers, to the dedication of our board members Stu and Susan Goldman who have worked tirelessly to organize this event year after year, to the inspiring words from our Chairman Nick Spano, our President and CEO Paca Lipovac, and our Chief Operating Officer Stephanie Metro, every moment was filled with purpose.

And now we are so proud to share the big news. We reached our fundraising goal for the Ceiling Lift Installation Project!

This achievement means nine of our non ambulatory residents will soon have overhead ceiling lifts installed in their bedrooms. These systems will transform daily routines, making transfers from bed to wheelchair, shower chair, or therapy mat safer, more comfortable, and more dignified. They will also reduce the risk of injury for our dedicated staff, allowing them to provide care more efficiently while freeing up precious space in each room to feel more like home.

The impact will be felt every single day, during busy mornings, in quiet evening routines, and in those little moments where comfort and safety mean everything.

We are grateful to the staff at Old Westbury Golf and Country Club, our incredible RTC team, and most importantly, our residents whose presence yesterday reminded us why we do this work. You are the heart of our mission.

To everyone who played, volunteered, sponsored, donated, or simply showed up with encouragement, thank you. You did not just help us meet a goal. You helped us create safer, more dignified spaces for the people we support.

We cannot wait to see you next year as we gather once again to celebrate community, generosity, and the lives we touch together.
