Quality Lives for People with Developmental Disabilities

Community Pre-Vocational Services

What are Pre-Vocational Services?
Taking place in small groups, individuals learn skills enabling them to become as independent as possible as an employee/volunteer. With a mix of classroom learning and on-the-job training, the person-centered topics focus on work safety, following directions, multi-tasking, problem-solving, completing tasks, and understanding work culture in order to create a positive and fulfilling work/volunteer experience.

Who Can Benefit from Pre-Vocational Services?
This program is intended for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities who are preparing to enter the workforce/volunteer, or for those already working in the community who wish to build their skillset.

Do I Qualify for Pre-Vocational Services?
This service is renewed annually, based on the prevocational assessment and the needs of the person. Speak with your care manager about qualifying for pre-vocational services.
